USA Results at 2016 World Junior Ultimate Championships

WFDF's World Junior (Under-20) Ultimate Championships concluded on Saturday and both US National Teams medaled! The U.S. was one of 49 countries competing at the international ultimate tournament. Overall, the U.S. teams posted a combined record of 17 wins and 1 loss.
17 Wins - 1 Loss
The U.S. WJUC Women's team went (7-0) during pool play, won their quarterfinals game (vs Germany) and semifinal game (vs Netherlands) to advance to the finals where they lost 14-15 (5-8 halftime) on double game point to Canada.

Of note, the final point (double game point) of the women's final which lasted over 16 minutes saw 10 turnovers.

The U.S. WJUC Men's team cruised thorough pool play with an (5-0) record, then won their quarterfinals game (vs Colombia) and semifinal game (vs Great Britain, who took bronze) to advance to the finals where they won 15-11 (8-6 halftime) against Canada.

The women's quarterfinal was against Germany - a 15-0 win with only 5 US turns. The Colombia game was during power pool play.
